Half a cow

Got a call from my mate Paul who runs a cafe and is one of our collection drivers at Mission Christmas. The rib roast he’d ordered from his wholesalers was in the cafe. He was horrified at the cost but as it was more than 60% less than I would have paid at the butchers I was delighted.

Even more so when we turned up at Beecraigs country park to the cafe and he’d managed to knock another £20 off the cost. The beef is for Boxing Day when we will be 9 for dinner.

Nice walk through the woods before a quick supermarket stop to pick up some flatbreads to have with lamb and salad for tea.

There’s a fabulous view from the car park at Beecraigs, not sure why we haven’t been there before.
