Boxing/last Day

We leave for home tomorrow.  We head down to the beach cafe for a last lunch.  It's been our favourite - good food, inexpensive and we always seem to bump into some of Dan and Varnika's friends there.

Like many of the beach shacks along this coast, they're dismantled each year in the Monsoon season.

We're meeting D&V for a last dinner in the evening so spend the afternoon packing and dozing.

We won't sleep properly because we have to leave for the airport at 1.30am tomorrow (27th).  The current airport is on a military base and they seem to get first dibs on all the day-time flights.  Tourists tend to arrive and depart in the hours of darkness.

This trip has been a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions; we were a bit nervous about coming - now we're not sure what we're going back to.

Of course, as you gather if you've read the earlier entries, we've had a wonderful time.  I doubt we'll have another Christmas like it.
