My friend Avelino is so upset over my sister's broken hip in Paris and her upcoming surgery that he insisted in taking me out for a happy hour.  She was in good spirits when I spoke to her.  When I wake in the middle of the night like I always do I will be phoning her again.  She wants me to be in Seattle when she arrives home by medical transport.  I still feel she could use support while still there.  They will keep her a week after her surgery on Wednesday.  I so wish it had not happened, she has been having a brilliant time exploring on her own and experiencing places she and Tom explored.
