Fifth Floor via the Elevators
I decided I’d step out for a walk. Half way along to wherever I was vaguely thinking of going, the sleet started coming down. Still, by then I’d got though Steve Richards' round up of the political year on the earphones. And better news awaited in Asda where I briefly sheltered. For I had my winning lottery scratch card in my pocket and rather than receiving £22 I was handed over £25! What joy. The SK has been telling me off for holding forth about the price of things. It’s a bit vulgar, I gather. This has been the case more particularly since she visited Mewes to pick up a couple of pieces of cheese. Let’s just say I didn’t know cheese could be 50% more expensive than fillet steak per kilo.
Later, to see Aftersun at the Everyman with the tiddlers which they hadn’t seen (we had, at its UK premier of course - have I mentioned that?). Wonderful! But blimey, that’s an expensive place. I won’t mention how much I spent. If it was fillet steak we’d have had a 600g steak each. Of course they’re veggies so maybe 12kg of hummus?
