Common Snipe x 3

These are rare in Switzerland but I have seen them often on an island at our end of Lake Geneva. People come a long way to see these long-billed birds. 

I had to add an extra of the sky tonight, bisected by a vapour trail. Unfortunately it heralds the rain due tomorrow.
