The Boating Pond

The last full day in our holiday house.  We were slow to get moving.  It was grey and breezy, so TT started his day with a run.  We then drove over to Cley and decided to walk to Blakeney.  It is one of my favourite walks.  We fancied lunch in a café, but after queuing up at the counter we were told to sit down and they would come and take our order.  We did sit down, they didn’t come and take our order, so we left and walked back to Cley and had a lovely lunch there, sitting outside in the sunshine.  I also made a couple of purchases at a lovely shop, before we drove along the coast to Sheringham.  We like Sheringham and parked by the old station, which we had a look around, before going for a  walk along the front in both directions.  It was breezy enough for paragliders to be flying overhead (extra).  We hadn’t  really noticed the breeze when walking earlier.  We also walked to the part of the beach we went to when BB was a wee lad and reminisced!.

By late afternoon we were ready to head home.  Tea was whatever was left in the fridge.  Later there was a bit of tidying and packing in readiness for tomorrow’s departure.  It’s been a lovely last day.

In TT’s bedroom at the holiday cottage, there was a picture of Sheringham boating pond.  We didn’t know where it was, but went in search of it this afternoon and found it.  The other extra is a lane in Cley, overtaken by hollyhocks.
