Our view in felt
I've almost caught up now: this is yesterday's only photo, as it was far too wet and windy to step outside. J made this needle felt landscape picture with hand over hand support from her PA. She has worked on it for many weeks, and gave it to P for Christmas. I have promised to find a frame - it needs enough depth not to squash the textures. You may recognise the view, as I have shared it many times: you can see part of our garden, the fenced and gated vegetable plot with its large, creamy pumpkins, then the young orchard trees beyond. The sheep are in their field next door, and the side of the valley slopes up to the Downs' skyline and a sky with J's favourite fluffy white clouds. It's loosely based on a photo, and is entirely recognisable as well as beautifully coloured and textured.
