Stump
Our son Matt is staying with us until New Year’s Eve. He has a little bit of rest but he needs to get on with something. He is in his thirties and he’s always been like it. So he had to do something despite the inclement showery and windy weather. So he laid two stone slabs to replace existing old slabs on steps and then took down a very sorry looking leylandii tree in our front garden which hasn’t looked great for some time. The Head Gardener has plans for the corner of our driveway including a purchase of a large shrub (sounds expensive) from Harlings Garden Centre in nearby Hexham. All this happened while I was thinking whether it was a good idea or not. When I looked out of the window this was my view! (Head Gardener and Matt are just hidden behind the bird table, not deliberately but by my poor timing.)
