Daddy Starling

It's Dad's turn to feed the babies, who are chirping loudly from behind the downspout about six feet from my paint brush. Mom is a little smaller and otherwise looks much the same, but she does not perch near me squawking about my choice of colors, as her mate did for several minutes before alighting on the threshold of his family home, where you see him now.

Here is my earlier blip about the downspout starlings from two weeks ago. i'll bet those babies will start trying out their wings soon!
