Purple globe artichoke

Other plants that haven't enjoyed the cold spell are my globe artichokes. This one (the purple one) seem to have fared a bit better than the green one but still isn't looking its best. 

I'm postponing any decision-making about the fate of these 2 plants. They're relatively young (as I had to replace previous globe artichoke plants 3 years ago, after a nasty floods-followed-by-hard-frosts winter episode) so I'm not sure how tough they'll be. 

As usual time will tell. If they don't make it, I might grow something else - grasses maybe?
