Last morning

We're leaving now. What a weekend. What a country.

The photo is of the Infinity pool at 7.25 am. The land across the Dead Sea is the West Bank.

It has been an amazing experience. Roman history in Jerash, the rose-red city of Petra, the journey across the top of the mountains and then descending to well below sea level.

Thought provoking too. Watching the news, reading the heart rending blips from Ingunn in Oslo. This is such a troubled area.

For those who are interested, I travelled with Voyages Jules Verne, a keenly priced and imaginative company who use local tour companies and have interesting itineraries. You can get a taste for it.

Now, did somebody say The Silk Road....... Samarkand......Tashkent?
