Calm before the Storm

A weekend working at Aber cafe dawned grey and wet - again.   The first train, seen here approaching, was lightly loaded.  An easy start with no hint of what was to come.  The two later trains were both pretty much full ... of hungry and thirsty passengers!   Add in a booking for six afternoon teas which only came to my notice by lucky chance and it was a very busy day in the end.  Just the two of us on duty but we rose to the challenge despite stocks of food being low due to the approaching six week break in operations.   

Home as darkness fell, the rain still tumbling down.   Ruth, Jamie and I will have a fairly quiet night in, lots of tasty buffet food and most likely some TV entertainment.
