Today's the day ....................... to be safely gathered in

Thank you for all your kind words and sympathy yesterday.  I'm pleased to tell you that we did the journey again today without problems and the girls are now safely back home with their Mum and Dad in Moniaive.  Everyone is very pleased to be reunited in their proper house!

There was a full house in Kirkcudbright Harbour this afternoon.  The fishing boats were two- and sometimes three-abreast along the quayside - and hopefully all their crews will be ashore ready to bring in the New Year in a few hours.

We're back home now too - and everything seems eerily quiet.  Our Hogmanay this year will be just the two of us but perhaps a glass (or two) will be raised.  So here's wishing all you lovely folk, health and happiness in 2023 - whatever form that might take ..................... x
