Sparkle Sparkle Little Twink

Had a really lovely day.
Baked a birthday cake for Cathie in the morning (being that she’s away still). While it was cooling Scout and I walked into town to pick up lemon curd and get the balloons filled with helium. We got the lemon curd no problem but the balloon shop wouldn’t let dogs in. So walked home, dropped her off and walked back into town to find the balloon shop had no helium!! Found another that did - picked up a few other bits and pieces including a danish pastry from the bakery.
Back home and it was decorate the cake time. Enjoyed finding hiding places for the birthday things!
Spent the rest of the day cleaning and putting odds and ends away. Didn’t properly sit down till 5 it was about 5:45 when Cathie got home.
Nipped up to moms to pick up the meat and Yorkshire puddings then back home to start cooking.
Nick and Sarah arrived about 7:30
We just had a lovely relaxed time eating too much and doing my London Tea Party jigsaw.
To bring in the New Year the cheese was brought out and we all had put choice of drink (as well as a taste of ‘Eaton mess Baileys!) and Cathie found some mini sparklers :)
