The Flaring Light……

The flaring light lit up part of the river bank as the sun rose early this morning, the first day of the new year. It was quite magical. A mainly sunny day but with a very cold easterly wind blowing.
I visited my friend, C for a New Years Day meal at lunchtime.. Roast lamb and gravy with yummy seasonal vegetables. R, a good friend of C’s, brought a dessert of panna cotta and strawberries. Delicious!
My son Duncan arrived from Dunedin late evening. It is lovely to see him. Maisie adores him.
