A load of baubles

So that's it, all over for another year, at least in this household.  The tree is down, the decorations put away, and the house hoovered.  After all the rich food we always crave something different so tonight I'm cooking a Thai dish with lots of prawns, lime juice and fresh flavours.  And leftover turkey, of course.  We usually enjoy Christmas but still want to get rid of the decorations after New Year, but this year for a few reasons we didn't enjoy it so much, so we're thinking we may go away next Christmas.  The thought of a nice country house hotel, with good food and comfortable lounges where we can totally relax for a few days really appeals; need to do some research.
