Happy New Year’s Day …

… it’s 2023 … how did that happen? Not so many years ago we woke up to the year 2000 and thanked all our gods for saving us from The Millennium Bug -

There was a lot of rain and wind during the night but we slept soundly until 8:30 this morning, which is a lie in for us!
I gambled on the weather improving, put a load of clothes in the washing machine then spent an hour or so on family history. Photo taken through an upstairs window just before 1pm, less than an hour later the sky cleared and the washing dried outdoors :-)
I’ve reached the last episode of Dark Materials, so many twists and turns, very emotional … I’m sorry it’s ending :-((
