Love grows where my Rosemary goes...

Yesterday was our proper farewell to the Edinburgh flat. We tidied it up and cleaned it and took out all the last bits and bobs and closed the door, putting the keys through the letterbox.

I did some proper farewells to all the rooms and looked out each window for the last time before saying goodbye to the garden. It was while I was out there I decided to take some of the rosemary from the huge bush that has been supplying us for the last 9 years in the hopes that I can get some wee roots to grow.

I'm supposed to use 'root hormone enhancer' or something - which I don't have, so I chopped the sprigs the way I'm supposed to and popped them in some sugary water for a bit. Now they're sitting in 2 tiny little pots of soil and I'm going to stick a bag over them to keep the moisture in.

It would be nice to take a bit of the old garden to the new and even Arlo loves popping out to get some rosemary for the tea. I would love it if this worked out.

Also, we've had our offer accepted (again) on the house we tried to buy earlier in the year so fingers crossed it happens this time. If not, it doesn't matter because we love this flat.

If it does come off the first garden thing I'm going to do is get rid of the crappy walls in the front garden and plant a rosemary hedge.

Oooooh that will smell so good wont it?
