New Year, New Dawn

Dragged myself out early to Chasewater thinking I would be one of just a few people out early for the sunrise.

So imagine my surprise to see a steady stream of cars coming along the access road to the car park by the Innovation Centre.  It only took a few minutes to realise that there was an organised park run taking place at 9 am.

I walked around for a few minutes, hoping for a sunrise to welcome in 2023.  Fortunately, despite cloud low on the horizon to the east, it wasn't thick and allowed the sunlight to break through giving a warm glow to start the day.

Later we went out for a walk across Cannock Chase, before dropping in to the stables to bring in a horse for a friend.
