Happy New Year

Lovely sunshine first thing and at this time of year the early sun shines down our road, illuminating the front gardens.  Our cherry tree is again a great performer, flowering in the winter and putting on a great show.

L saw the sunshine and decided she wanted a walk before the forecast weather rolled in.  Even as we walked around the park the clouds were beginning to bank up and it wasn't long after that rain started.

We had family around, including L's cousin who would have been our hosts on Christmas Day if things hadn't gone awry.  For various reasons we were all a bit preoccupied, but it was nice to get together at least once over the festive period.
