Natural History Day

I spent the morning at Saughton Park, which was a lovely place to be as there had been a good frost followed by most welcome sunshine.  A group of 15 of us were monitoring the birds and any flowering plants in the park.(see extra)  We spotted 15 varieties of birds and 13 flowering wild flowers.  We have decided to continue this recording on a seasonal basis.
Later on we walked up to Criaglockhart pond where there are now 2 extra adult swans, everybody seemed to be getting on fine while we were there.  There were a lot of birds in general at the pond, including another flash of a kingfisher.
I have ordered some new running shoes-exciting!
