Rehearsal Day
Drove up to Ravello, a small village on the hill above Amalfi which seems to specialise in weddings. And it is easy to see why - a pretty, traditional, traffic-free village set on top of a cliff, surrounded by terraced hillsides and the sparkling blue Mediterranean.
We had the wedding rehearsal in the Cathedral, and then the bride and groom took us for a tour of the reception venue, the Villa Cimbrone.
An ancient looking building, it has a vaulted, open-sided crypt for the meal, and is set in beautiful gardens, filled with statues and follies. At the end of the gardens, the terrace (where the drinks reception will be held) is lined with romanesque statues and set right on the edge of a two-hundred metre cliff, overlooking the sea.
Did a few test shots and practised some lighting setups with my new Photo Gimp.
