Looking at simplicity!

I often find myself painting a lot of marks, layering paint.... filling up the whole space....i was on a walk the other day down by the water in Baddeck....and i took lots of images of the simple skeleton shapes of bushes etc., and i recognised some of the marks i make repeatedly!   I love the marks i often make to begin a painting but then i end up covering them all up.   there's a certain energy in those beginning marks and compositions...so i'm doing  some more explorations of simplicity of marks!
