Whooper Swans

5 Whooper Swans stopped on our local Reservoir for a while.
They set off before I got close but then gave me a nice flypast.

There were a number of women swimmers preparing to enter the reservoir so that’s probably why the Swans set off. Why not, trespass and risk your life and then maybe even the life of someone who might try to rescue you and go swimming in a reservoir.  I walked away through the Cemetery and saw a large flock of Fieldfare.

Late afternoon a drive to Castleton and no surprise everyone from every direction had the idea of climbing Mam Tor and walking the Great Ridge.
