Definitely not summer!
MrMacD baked his sourdough loaves this morning and I took advantage of the oven heat by throwing some beetroot, parsnip, carrot and sweet potato into a tray to roast. That done I went over to Mum’s to empty out the last of the kitchen drawers and cupboards. I took a load of crockery home and put it in the dishwasher, then went back for some more. Whilst there I washed out the empty cupboards and drawers.
After lunch we drove to Eastridge to meet a friend for coffee. We had a good catch up, which was nice. By the time we returned home the dishwasher was done, so it was emptied and another load put in, then back to Mum’s to wash the shelves and drawers from the fridge-freezer and give it a good wipe out. I also cleaned out the bathroom cupboard and the drawer under the basin.
The Silver Muse sailed into port this morning, but was barely visible through the rain. By this evening we couldn’t even see the harbour and the Silver Muse is still in port, probably because of the heavy rain and strong winds. I doubt they’d want to be sailing in bad weather.
