Winter light
Postponed birthday treat today - a leisurely drive through the beautiful Scottish Borders (extra) to Bellingham, for a walk to Hareshaw Linn.
It's a short walk, about 5km, through ancient woodland by the river up to the waterfall. After all the rain there's lots of water cascading down the river, and the falls were quite spectacular (but I didn't succeed in getting one decent shot of them!). On the way back through the woods, the late-afternoon light through the trees was fabulous.
On the way home an early dinner at the Redesdale Arms. A lovely day!
