Forgotten but not Gone

Double, double, toil and trouble./Fire burn and cauldron bubble……..
The Merry Widows held a New Year get together this morning which reminded me alarmingly of a witches coven. 
No spells were cast by us but we were of one mind that the rest of the world has gone mad- no specifics here.

When I delved into the freezer today I was surprised to find pigs in blankets and spring rolls lurking there. I had forgotten completely that they had been destined for the Boxing Day Table. It seems that at every Christmas, something is forgotten whether it is the roast potatoes or the chipolatas. 

A friend arrived this afternoon for tea and post Christmas catch up. I failed to get her to eat one of the mince pies left over from last week and needing instant consumption. I didn’t offer her a chipolata.
