Spike Of Green

A couple of years ago I bought a very tiny real Christmas tree. It came with bright cardboard disc 'baubles' and a set of lights which run from my laptop USB. I weeded the earth in its pot when I brought it indoors. This frail shoot has grown. It's colourless and translucent, apart from a tiny spike of green in the middle. I think it might be ribwort plantain.

My daughter and Frankie dog visited this morning. Poor Frank is very frail but it was lovely to see her and watch her tuck into smoked salmon trimmings with gusto. I gave her a nice doggy facewash.
