A moments pause on the dash south. Did I say moment? We stopped at Mainsgill on the A66 for over two hours for dinner and shopping. Many brands of push clothes were on sale and Christmas stuff could be had for a discount too, like these glass bottles. We didn’t succumb.

Thankful to report a safe and easy journey south. Probably the best we’ve ever had. Average speed was 60mph and fuel consumption 62.5mpg which shows we were able to travel uninterrupted the whole of the 450 miles.
