Over Toftcombs Farm north east of Biggar

A remarkably straightforward journey back to Kent from Edinburgh today. Ten hours door to door, 8 hours driving. Surprisingly good conditions until Cambridge when the heavens opened making for tricky conditions for the final 90 miles. People, on the whole, were very sensible and were mindful of the conditions.

The scenery between Edinburgh and the M74 was spectacular in the low sunlight and ragged cloudscapes. I could have stopped many times had there been a place to pull over. Then a farm track appeared, no traffic and it was out, snap, in and off
