Hare

I had a slightly sharper shot- but it was just sitting, and I prefer this one.
Today, I was supposed to be on a trip to the unoccupied island of Fara, but it was postponed until tomorrow due to wind and rain. As I type, however, the wind and rain look set to continue so I have my doubts as to getting to Fara tomorrow. It is an island too fara.
So I went to Birsay. From the hide at The Loons, I saw lots of drake ducks- the females probably on nests. There was a pintail, a garganey, shovelers, sedge warblers, a hen harrier, little grebes etc. I then walked to Marwick and saw this hare, one of several. Over the cliff-path of Marwick Head to Birsay and the bus.
