Today's the day ..................... to think positively
One of the most thoughtful Christmas presents that we received this year was an annual subscription to the 'uplifting current affairs magazine' - Positive.News.
Not surprising that it was given to us by good friends John and Roma, who are very good at thinking of unusual and welcome presents. The problem is that (in these troubled times) we have come to believe that the only news there is, is bad news - and more worryingly, that it's an accurate reflection of the world. Positive stories aren't counted as 'news' or important enough to merit column inches or air time. The old journalistic rule 'if it bleeds, it leads', is the guiding principle.
But incredibly, there is good news to be had - and we will be supplied with some of it over the coming months. Definitely a reason to be cheerful ........................!
