The road less travelled.

I have been wanting to visit the coffee shop in Rest Bay, Porthcawl for ages, and as today is J's birthday,  (  not mine) I suggested we try it out. Did we rate it, no. The only thing going for it, was the view.  We arrived there just after 11 o'clock, ( maybe a bit late) and managed to get a table. J went to order, but it was too late to have a bacon roll, and you couldn't order sandwiches or hot food until noon. We had two coffee's and a slice of lemon cake, which was rubbish, and that cost us £9.40. The ambience was dire, the service was basic, so we won't be going back. Never mind, the sun is shining, and we are having sirloin steak with fries, mushrooms and onion rings for J's birthday meal. Let's hope it doesn't disappoint!  At least the ambience should be good, and the service will be second to none.
