I travelled up to Dunscore by bus, and back again by foot.

Joanna and I walked and talked for a bit and then went to hear the Cairn Chorus performing at Dunscore Church. I was once a member of this choir and I was once a member of this church, and the whole thing made me feel pretty emotional. The concert was called "Travellers Far From Home" with "festive songs to bring hope' love and kindness to the coming year". Amen to that. Wonderful singing, as always from this choir, and appropriately, some very moving songs from Ukraine and Georgia.

There was a bitterly cold wind blowing on the way home so I was glad to light the fire when I got in and to park myself in front of it :-)
