Moonset

I could see the moon this morning as I sat in my chair drinking my coffee so I grabbed the camera to see if I could get a shot through the trees..outside in my jammies and a hoodie!   It was a little chilly!   As I turned around to go back inside I noticed the sunrise was showing off on the other side of the house.    That photo in the extras.

Scenes like this always make my day start off with a big smile...extraordinary ordinary things.  

Jerry made it up the stairs last night to sleep in the bed instead of staying downstairs.  I don't know that he actually got better sleep because I was not going to ask that question. I know what his response would be.  (But hey, the dog and I slept all night in the spare bedroom!)  He seems to have hit a low today as his knee is really swelled up but ice is his friend.  Not much of an appetite either which is maybe a good thing so he can learn to eat small meals instead of his usual eating style.  I just don't know what to cook for him.    

I did get outside to work in the yard a little.  Raking more leaves and pruning some things that had died off.  I can see new shoots close to the ground on the mums and the sedum.  The snowdrops and daffodils are shooting up too.    

Finished my first book of the year, The It Girl by Ruth Ware.   It was okay but I don't really like her writing style.  I figured out who did it before the ending!
