Guitar Hero

We stocked up the woodpile today, and in doing so had to evict a load of stuff that didn't belong there, including this guitar that we made about a year and a half ago at a friend's wedding. Bean discovered it and serenaded me and Bear, saying we were at church!

We also did a LOT of work in the garden today. There's a lot of rain forecast for tomorrow so all the stuff that came out of the shed last week needed to go back in, the shed canopy/pergola thing needed fixing to the ground, and everywhere needed tidying up ready for whatever onslaught the weather has in store.

Of course while we were trying to tidy everything up, the wild wind got Bean into wild spirits and he ended up whacking Bear in the head with a spade (not maliciously, just thoughtlessly) and then trapping his fingers in the playhouse window shutters while trying to make him laugh. Poor kids. Everything got done though. AND we have made two loaves of bread today, one while Bean was at preschool and another one this evening after demolishing half the first loaf at teatime.

Bean was pretty cute at bedtime this evening. I do a count up while we're having a cuddle. I count the seconds in my head to somewhere between 30 and 40 seconds and count out loud from 1 to whatever number Bean chooses, tonight it was 11 so I counted about 40 seconds per number. But he was actually fast asleep by the time I got to three. Even so I carried on to 11 as promised, then a quick count back down to zero and lifted him up into his bed. And as he fell asleep he said "but I wanted a drink as well...." and was gone... Hehe. Must've been tired!
