Five position cow feeder or medieval hot tub?

As Thursday’s trial run for the Wild Walk was unsatisfactory an alternative was plotted yesterday. The gov looked at the weather forecast and declared this morning was looking good and we could try out our new route, although there could be shower at lunchtime.
It was raining before coffee and we took shelter in the lee of a big barn. As we restarted our walk the heavens opened the rain pelted down and we even had hail! It was still raining an hour later when we returned to the car and it hasn’t stopped since. Maybe a full 12mm so far. Despite goretex and good footwear we were wet to the underwear.
The slight upside was that the new route looked as though it would work.
