And so do we!   The weather improved today and we headed to Ipanema by way of Arpoador.  'At least, it's dry,' is not a phrase we use often in Rio but it is now very much in our local lexicon.

In other news, idiot insurgents have stormed the Brazilan Congress building in a mini-me Capitol 6th January (I am writing this before I have information re the scale of the impact).   Bolsonaro's son had dinner with Trump in the last few days , apparently . . . no prizes for guessing what was on the menu.
