And so it begins...
Alan had as slightly better night last night and although he was awake quite a lot, he wasn't sick. Think the antibiotics are starting to make a difference.
His support worker Vickie returned to work today after being off for three months with a broken wrist. He adores Vickie so that cheered him up. It was so lovely to see her back and relieved to know she is so happy to be back. She's been bored stiff at home. She was doing a shadow shift with Kirsten today just to get her back into the swing of things, so Alan had two lovely ladies fussing over him.
His mouth still looks really sore but he has been a bit brighter over the course of the day and managed a couple of smiles (before remembering his mouth is sore and smiling makes it worse!) I cheered him up further by telling him Grandpa and Norma are visiting tomorrow. I am keeping everything crossed he will be brighter tomorrow.
Another lovely day with blue skies and sunshine. David went to the driving range for an hour and I sealed yesterday's slate painting and started a second one. Not quite as happy with the design of the second one. I suspect I may paint over a chunk of it. I'll decide tomorrow.
Great excitement just after lunch as our first Mindful Chef box arrived, bang on schedule. Very impressed with the contents. All beautifully fresh and properly chilled. Chose to have tiger prawn, beets & apple salad with horseradish. A little prep and 25 mins cooking time and dinner was done. It was absolutely delicious.
Roll on dinner no 2 :-))
