Strelitzia regina in conservatory
Something of a vulgar flower but we have been propagating and growing these for twenty years and there is nothing quite so cheering as the bright garish blooms which last for weeks in the depth of winter. They grow so well and can be divided into numerous new plants every few years but of course they need to be kept entirely free of freezing temperatures and need cover in temperate or cold areas.
