Ruairidh

We said goodbye to our lovely dog today. He had the best time and will be hugely missed.

Ruairidh - or Roo - arrived in May 2006, making him almost 17 years old. He’s had a very long run! Some extras of him through the years.

He got big quick. Unusually so for a Tibetan Terrier. About twice the size of his sister. He was as soft and friendly as he looks.

Generally laid back but when he decided to run he could fly. Reminiscent of Falkor the luck dragon. But his flamboyant hair wasn’t especially practical in the Hebridean wind.

He was also very tolerant companion for our family. We wouldn’t say he really enjoyed being dressed up but he always appreciated the company, the ear rubs and the snack crumbs!

The girls are very sad and have been helping to look after him while he was poorly. Rowan, as the budding vet, has kept a keen interest in how he was doing. And true to form, is planning extensive commemorative events to celebrate his life.
