Starling Take-Off
Back at the birdfeeders today I had a number of potential blips. This starling in take-off mode appealed to me most as an image. Of course, the 1/1o0th speed of the camcorder stills shutter cannot possibly freeze a bird in flight, but with the camera on a tripod everything else is sharp.
I like the effect of the beautiful symmetry of the moving wings, and the streaks of its body in flight. Interesting that the yellow beak is relatively sharp. I have enhanced the purplish wing colour, together with the definition and contrast, as the lighting was very flat today. If you've time click the magnifier and look at the wings in detail.
