Cerveza y tapas
The music festival we are attending is matching music to location. This morning's venue was the Hotel Alfonso XIII, the grandest hotel in Seville, built in 1929 for the Seville Expo, and luxuriously renovated last year. The music was early 20th century Spanish - piano music by Manuel de Falla (who was born in Cadiz) and Andalucian guitar music by Albeniz, Granados and Rodrigo - it was absolutely lovely.
We wandered over to the old fishermans' area south of the river this afternoon. It's still 33 degrees so we found a locals' bar to drink beer and eat tapas. The photo is looking in through the bar window at Mr HCB paying the barman. But what fascinated me was the photos on the wall of Jesus and Mary and bullfighters - it just about sums up Seville!
