Flooding in Cut Wood Park.
The Feast Day of Saint Salvius.
I went to Cut Wood park for the first time this year. 4582 steps so far.
It was lovely to see the beauty of the Wintry woodland and there were several people walking their dogs.
I went along the straight path to see the level of the reservoir, and it was good to see it fuller again, because in the Summer heatwave last year it dried up so much.
There were a pair of swans, two cygnets and a few Canada geese on the water.
I came in though the main entrance, through the woodland path and was going to go home by the Cut Lane exit, but much to my surprise, the path was flooded, about ankle deep, so I walked back through the main path. I saw one grey squirrel who seemed friendly and in no rush to scurry up a tree. There is a big Cadent gas pipes project on Blackburn Road, so there are
temporary traffic lights slowing down the traffic.
It is 9c and milder but the afternoon is forecast to have strong blustery winds.
The Starlings continue to gobble down the coconut.
I will now have an indoor afternoon reading and crocheting.
Feeling sad Jeff Beck has passed away.
Enjoy your day and thank you for dropping by.
