That goose again!

So today it was James who walked with me to the pond to feed the ducks. When we got there, a man was coming along the path, so ever covid vigilant I stood well back to let him pass. The goose had seen us and wasn't having any of this! He came straight up out of the pond, determined to get his dinner, straight in front of the rather nonplussed man whose path was now blocked. 

I went round behind the man and tried to get the goose to see that I did have food and that I was throwing it into the water. The goose was interested enough in the food to let the man past - I'm sure he must have heaved a sigh of relief. 

Eventually the goose went back into the water and guzzled down rather a lot of food. We also fed a lot of ducks, a few other water birds, and a single gull. Oh, and some pigeons!
