The Old and the New ...

... around midday in our neighborhood.  One often notices the contrast between the new and old in the 13th arrondissement.  Much of the area was destroyed during WW II, to be replaced with large apartment blocks like the one in the background here.  But many older ones remain, as in the foreground here.
