Musicanimale (Cité de la Musique)
Our daughter T is a PhD student in Neuroscience researching how songbirds learn their songs, so we were intrigued by the Musicanimale exhibition at the Cité de la Musique. We had lunch near it at Chez Jean Jaurès (Chez JJ), which J called the best meal he's had here so far (!) because of a delicious boeuf persillé with a pepper sauce. The exhibition was cute, but missed opportunities to explore more complex and possibly more interesting questions about animal communication. A series of paintings by Frans Snijders (approx 1630) on the theme of the "Concert d'oiseaux" were in the first room and we really enjoyed them. This is a detail.
We walked back through the parc des Buttes-Chaumont and Belleville to get the metro at République.
