The Magic of Music

Casey and his parents (from across the street) came to the Beaverton Symphony Orchestra concert tonight. He didn't get to see much of Eric who sits in the back row playing trombone, but he did get to conduct The Hall of the Mountain King with pencils they gave to the kids. We were also entertained by puppets from the Portland Puppet Museum and Pacific Puppetry.
Earlier, I had lunch downtown with nhc, up here for a weekend visit. I hadn't seen her since 2020, I think. So nice.
Oh, it was also Eric's birthday today, the big 75. We celebrated with a shared bowl of ramen post-concert, along with a game of Bananagrams as we ate. Our waiter, at Kayo's on N Williams, was super attentive as we sat in a cozy booth; he said, "It's all about you."
