Dolcezza Della Vita

Something to think about...

Another cactus shot...I'll probably be photographing them for the next week or so...while they are still blooming. I think they're so beautiful. What not so great, is waking up in the middle of the night with cactus needles in your skin! Oh they're painful! I must have gotten too close yesterday while photographing the bees. I found one on the side of my neck and one on my leg. I was more careful this morning!

A friend sent me an interesting article that has sort of stuck w/ me...thought I would share...Joshua Bell, the world famous violinist playing incognito in a subway station one morning...he played six Bach pieces with his 3.5 million dollar violin...for 45 minutes and collected a few dollars. Two nights before, he sold out for a concert that ran for around $100 dollars per seat.

The moral of the story is, what I took away at least, is a reminder for us to slow down!! And pay a little more attention to the content, not the context of things. If those individuals in the subway that day didnt have time to stop and listen to the best violinist in the world...what else are we missing as the hours...the days pass us by?!! The Washington Post article won the Pulitzer award for the story. Just something to think about...

Sunset from tonight...
