Ice flaming

Dan finally made it outside today and got the propane torch lit. First he shoveled and then flamed the ice. I went behind him and sanded and now the steps and walkway are good.
What a day. Everything has a thin coating of ice and then most of the day has been ice pelleting to about 2-3 inches of the stuff. The ducks actually came out and spent most of the day in the mini green house. I periodically took them out some fresh water. The chickens just stayed in their coop. I went out with a jug of very slightly warm water and ran it carefully down the edge of my car door to unfreeze the car. That worked and I ran the car and cleared off the ice. So at this point my doors open. I hope they still will in the morning.
